XXL condoms

XXL condoms exist for an erect girth that's well past the average, and the biggest options reach 64 mm and 69 mm. Girth is how far it is around the penis, and it matters much more than length when you're picking a size.

All are latex. Width is measured across the condom while it lies flat, and it is the number each brand prints on the box. Tap a product name to see where its figures come from.

Under the ISO 4074 standard, the number on the box may be out by as much as 2 mm in either direction. So one brand's 64 mm condom can feel a bit different from another's.

Condoms for wider girths

A condom's size is its nominal width. To get this number, you lay the condom flat, unstretched, and measure with a ruler at the narrowest point. That means the nominal width is half of how far around the condom goes. In the EU, condoms have to show this figure on the pack.

How big is average? Durex, drawing on NHS figures, puts typical girth somewhere between 12 and 13 cm. Research on 4,685 young Italian men came out at 12.03 cm on average. Standard condoms mostly run 52 to 56 mm in width.

Mister Size's girth chart matches each width to a girth at the larger end of the scale:

Girth when erectNominal width
12–13.5 cm (4.72–5.31 in)57 mm
13.5–14.5 cm (5.31–5.71 in)60 mm
14.5–15.5 cm (roughly 5.7–6.1 in)64 mm
15.5 cm or more (6.10 in or more)69 mm

A condom needs to sit a bit snug so it doesn't slide off. Each size is made slightly tighter than the girth it's meant for, and that gentle squeeze keeps it from slipping.

Measuring your girth

Sizing is built on erect measurements, so wait until you're fully hard before measuring.

  1. Take a soft tape measure and wrap it around the shaft at its thickest point. For most people that's just under the head.
  2. No tape? A length of string or a strip of paper works. Mark the spot where it overlaps, then hold it against a ruler.
  3. Look up your number in the table to get your width.

For a quick check without a tape, ONE found the inside of a toilet paper roll is about 5 inches around, close to its MyONE 55 size. Rolls vary by brand, though, so treat this as a rough guide only.

Which brands make the biggest condoms?

The brands with condoms wider than 60 mm all sell a range of sizes, so you can pick your exact width. Mister Size's widest is a 69 mm condom. At 64 mm, options include:

  • Mister Size's 64
  • MY.SIZE PRO 64
  • ONE's MyONE 64

Both the 64 and 69 from Mister Size have a 0.06 mm wall, a touch thicker than the 0.05 mm walls of its smaller sizes. A standard condom runs around 0.07 mm for comparison.

Durex XXL and other big brands

Durex UK's sizing guide covers three fits, starting with a close fit of 52.5 mm. Its widest option, the wide fit, is 57 mm, which is only a little roomier than its 56 mm regular fit.

Trojan describes Magnum as made for men with a girth of 4.75 inches or more and a length of at least 7.1 inches. If your girth is above about 14.5 cm, Mister Size's chart suggests a 64 mm or 69 mm condom will likely fit better than Durex's widest 57 mm fit.

Signs the size is wrong

Pinching, rolling up or breaking usually means the condom is too small. Slipping or bunching usually means it's too big. Durex points out that a bad fit makes breakage and slipping more likely, so measure yourself before spending money.
