What to look for on the box

Boxes sold in the EU and UK print the nominal width. Check the manufacturer's site, or our condom size chart, before you pay, since US boxes rarely show it.

Buying condoms in a store

In pharmacies and supermarkets you'll find widths from Trojan, Durex, SKYN and LifeStyles, both regular and large. On some shelves you can find snug fits, including LifeStyles Snugger Fit and Durex Close Fit. XXL and extra small sizes are hard to find in stores.

Buying condoms online, including Walmart and Amazon

For the full range, shop online. Snug, regular and large versions of the big brands are sold at Walmart and Amazon. Their own shops and bigger online stores both sell the full width ranges from Mister Size, MY.SIZE PRO and MyONE. Skip the words small or large and search using the width in mm.

Small, large and XL condoms: where to buy them

The toughest condoms to find in shops are small and XL. Search the width (49 mm, 60 mm) online instead of the size word. Custom-width brands ship every width they make, while the large retailers stock the snug and large lines from the big brands.

Buying condoms for the first time

Get a small pack in your width, check that the date hasn't passed, and keep them away from heat. The worst spot for one is your wallet.
